before you go and buy all them unneeded parts Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Main ECU causing cold stall/surge...emissions affected?, Alfred E. Newman, Wed, 9 May 2007 23:26:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
with the engine off remove the harness connector from the amm.
connect the digital ohmmeter across terminals 3 and 6 of the meter and measure the resistance
air mass meter base setting is 380 ohms
if the resistance reading is incorrect, remove the anti-tamper plug from the side of the amm. turn the screw until the correct reading is obtained
( if 380 ohms cannot be obtained, the amm is faulty and should be replaced)
if the dashpot is bad replace it, just press the end of it, if its hard and dose not retract its faulty.
your leaking oil from your turbo needs to be addressed, this alone can cause you to fail, although it makes me wounder how you know this.
the tps, wires will address your idle, if the car idles fine when warm no need to replace, the funky idle would more than likely be contributed by the amm.
and its good to know the charcoal canister can let air in and out, however i never tried huffing on it, did you see blue bubbles when you were done there would be a 99% chance the canisters fine.
almost 0 to none the ecu would be crapping out, unless you modded it or you have one of them flood cars where water was up past your doors.
