Just had a brainstorm on turkey baster draining.

Whenever I have done this the darn thing pees out fluid as you move it from whatever you've emptied to wherever you're dumping it.
So, what if you pop the bulb off and put a ball bearing inside it - - say 1/4", available at some hardware stores as loose balls or from a bike shop.
Or maybe a marble.
Then, squeeze bulb flat with baster on its side, submerge and let it suck full, then ball bearing will sort of seal things while you move over to your waste bottle. Tilt baster on side and ball will roll out of the tip and you can empty it, maybe. Or maybe it's trickier than I'm theorizing it.
I'll try it next time and report here if it works.
