reservoir and see if it stops or reduces the leaking. Mine's been leaking for YEARS...now I have 299K on the original 1985 rack...I use a 50:50 mix of Lucas plus regular steering lube and have to top it up with only about half a pint every 1500-2000 miles only. My initial leak was pretty bad...but as long as the rack feels OK with no morning stiffness, this is definitely worth a shot before plunking down $1000.00. You may also find some of the leak is just the oil pipe into the pump which often can be inexpensively replaced or under the reservoir where leaks are also common. The rubber pipes harden and crack over time. I would take a careful look at this first...
