What were your symptoms when the ABS pump failed and what kind of mechanic did you take the car to?

The reason i ask, is that the ABS pumps pretty much last forever. I've never had one fail on me (the ABS "bomb" yes but not the pump). . . those on this board will probably disagree and can provide examples however.

Also, if the car was diagnosed by anyone other than an independent (not a dealer) SAAB specialist i might be inclined to seek a second opinion.

Tell us a bit about the problem and maybe be can save you some money!
