Talked to Chris Jett. He will be out of town off n on most of the summer. :-( So he probably will not be much help. He also recommends a rebuilt transmission with as much as five years on it or so. That way you get the durability and reduce the cost a bit. Problem is finding one I guess. He said he found one recently for $700 but it had problems after install. (Reassuring?!)
Saabsite lists a rebuilt tranny with a 1 year unlimited mile warranty for $2100 smackers! (Plus another $500 core)
I called Eriksson industries yesterday but apparently they go home to their family's on the weekends. Weird.
Kinda thinking about hoisting the engine into my efficiency apt somehow so I can do a quasi rebuild while I watch Letterman. It will give me some time to come up with more scratch then I paid for the ole Slaab to begin with.
