Glad that thread found it's way back -0-0- I'm trying to protect what's left of an aging C900 that we're running for the first time on the Utah Salt Flats, so it will be hammered with the bad stuff.
One of the very interesting things that the Bonneville guys do with their cars/trucks that are support vehicles exposed to the salt -- after they get back home, they will put low velocity sprinklers under the car, gently melting away the brine...dose an area, then pull the sprinkler back and so on. Using a high pressure spray is a way to force the bad stuff into places that you don't want it to go when winter cleanup is ongoing.
For years, I've just used a the ion rinse at the car wash which is lower pressure than the spray rinse......so, maybe I was doing something that was good for it ( or not bad ) unknowingly.
I couldn't find a local supplier of Rust Check, but when I get back to Indy, there are some suppliers.
