Has anyone pulled the windshield washer reservoir?

I'm reading conflicting reports in the archives on how best to address a windshield washer leak. The simplest report states that one need only remove a single screw and pull up on the reservoir to gain access to the parts which will enable a diagnosis and repair.
I'd appreciate any shared thoughts/experiences, please. That appears to be what's leaking from my car. I say this not because I've done a good job of identifying the fluid on the ground, but because it has a green-blue tint and my windshield washer dash light is illuminating again despite the fact that I filled the reservoir a few days back.
Thanks in advance for any "easy-to-follow" instructions for the well-intentioned, if not-so-well educated novice DIY-er.
