I'm referring to the diagram in the owner's manual, and there's also a really neat "overview" rendering in the back of the owner's manual. Promise keepers. :o) That make-do rendering that comes with the belt is a joke.
Yes, this is the 2.3L 4 cyl. On my car, the belt comes up from two bottom wheels (one from 7 o'clock, the other at 5 o'clock). If the arms holding the belt came up from 6 o'clock, no problem. However, the arms come from between 2 and 3 o'clock. Again, if there was just one arm holding the wheel, no problem.

Again, try hard to remember which is reverse threaded. The way I see it. There are two plastic wheels which are part of the "network." One is just there to be there for routing purposes, the other is to the tensioner. The vote is 2 for reverse threaded, one for "one of them is reverse, I don't remember which." :o)
