There is not really any bouncing going around. Before I put on the wheel well, I sat there watching the motor running to see if anything looked funny and to also gloat over my accomplishment, (with a bottle of Rolling Rock in hand). I failed to mention my 9000CS clicked over 100000 last month and has never had the belt changed. The problem was an old cracked belt. It was still in tact, I cut the rest off to begin with.
The oil that came out had the thinness of water. I used WD40 to refill it. Granted, pushing that shock to lock back together isn't easy, it was easier than unbolting that damn reverse bolt on the pulley!
I'll now brace for the usual raking over the coals and stoning for using WD40. :o)
Thanks again y'all.
