I was kinda stuck between a '95 9000 CS or '96 900 SE , so I said what the h*ll and bought both!!! The 9000 is a fantastic car for both spirited driving and a great ride. The 9k, i feel, has better quality inside and out, because it is designed mostly by Saab. However, with that comes higher prices for parts and labor. I am in the process of converting it into a Full Pressure Turbo (FPT), as the CS's come with a Light Pressure Turbo (LPT). The 900 is an incredibly well handling car, sportier feeling than even my '98 Mercedes E320. I feel confident taking the 900 on an off-ramp at 70 mph. The light weight paired with the Full Pressure Turbo make this car fly off the line. Both cars are auto's. All in all, I have not spent more on repairs on one car than on the other. The DI's went on both cars along with other routine stuff. Essentiall, it is a personal preference as to whether you want to pay slightly more for a smoother riding car with higher quality materials, or a little less for a car with slightly less quality. You do note that the 900 is an S, which means no turbo. If I were you, I would choose the 9000 for that reason. However, you can't really go wrong either way.
Good luck!!
