Thanks, Anders. SO, what's best to do?
-- Should I remove the timing cover and re-seal between the timing cover and head with the Nissan 1207C silicon sealant? Will that suffice? It's certainly the EASIER approach, which I like! ;-)
-- Should I undertake replacing the head gasket, which sounds to be very involved in terms of all the stuff that needs to be disconnected to get the head off? I've read postings that you can leave the intake and exhaust stuff on the head, but I'm imagining I'd at least have to disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold. Would it be tons more complicated than that to remove the head?
A MILLION thanks for your help! Going to get to work on the car in a couple of hours and would love to have a game plan on this...
