I am starting to loose it trying to find brake pads that work on my car. I have cross drilled and slotted rotors from race shopper. I first tried Axxis PBR Metal masters on my car and i thought I could do better in the way that they stopped. Next I ordered the Mitex pads from Eeuroparts and my car barely stops. After 100 miles I would think that they should work. I get about 1 good stop out of them that makes the ABS kick in and after that my pedal touches the floor and feels spongy. WHen I had the Axxis pads on my car did not do this. Yes I did get some fad after the first hard stop but my pedel did not get spongy and touch the floor. I was thinking maybe the pads haven't fully broken in yet but they seem the have worn down alot when I inspected them. It almost looks like I am down to 3/4 of the pad. The mintex pads actually look alot different then the Axxis pads. There are 2 seperate sections of pad with a grove in the center with each piece being beveled. It actually looks like they have alot less surfae area. I thought the problem may have been I needed to bleed the brakes after replacing the pads even thought I didn't let air into the system. I bleed them and it made no difference. I thougt my master cylinder may have gone bad but I did not have this problem untill I put my mintex pads on. Any ideas?
