I read a lot of complaints on this BB about people having trouble with drilled and stotted rotors and exotic pads not giving the response that is expected. Perhaps because these are used on racing vehicles there may be some misunderstanding about why they are used. Remember, drilled and slotted rotors are used on race cars for two reasons; to reduce unsprung weight, and to aid cooling from the tremendous demands that are placed on the rotors during a race. The do NOT automatically produce better breaking during normal driving. Drilled and slotted rotors, for example, are actually REDUCING the contact area between the pads and the rotors. They are also much more abrasive than an OEM rotor, a fact that is unimportant over the length a race, but very important if you are watching your pads wear away weekly. As Daren says, put back the normal rotors. Often set-ups that work on the track are not the best for our everday drive.
