Used 1995 CSE advice

I am trying to decided between renting a car when I need one or buying a used car. I have owned a few 900's and I am interested in the 9000. I found a 1995 with 100K on it locally for sale by the second owner. The car looks like it has been well looked after and the owner has receipts for repairs.
The direct ignition thingy was replaced as was the heater core.
The clutch is original and and the pedal felt a bit stiff to me (the hydraulic line was replaced) but showed no sign of slipping. The suspension was softer than expected and I heard a clunk going over some bumps. I do not know if it bottomed out or if it was something else. I did not see any receipts for suspension work so perhaps the struts and shocks are original.
All in all it looks like a clean example of a 95 that has not been crashed and has been fairly well looked after.
I guess my worry is that at 100K things will start failing and repairs are not cheap and I do not have a driveway so cannot work on it myself.
The owner is asking $4600 but I am sure I can get her down since the car is not moving.
Anyone have any thoughts they want to share?
Rupert
