it wasn't the best year. A couple things you might try:
Add oil to bring the level up to the "A" in "MAX"; that improves chain lurication and may help a little.
Add Barr's leaks to the coolant. many of us use it just as a precaution.
The 93 CSEt we recently donated got to 222K with the original chain, head gasket, and heater core, though I changed it while replacing the blower. It also had a few TCS problems, most recently the TCS safety valve. Here is a list of what got replaced (most recent) and when:
222K TCS Safety valve
218K New right inner & outer CV boots and tie-rod end
218K New serpentine belt and newer idler pulleys.
213K Newer left headlite wiper motor assy
212K SRS sensor fixed, new battery
211K New exhaust flex pipe (behind CAT), new power antenna mast
210K New gas tank straps, new exhaust mid pipe/resonator, newer Aero muffler
208K New heater core and blower motor
207K Newer hatch struts
182K New Front rotors, all 8 pads, right ball joint, 2 A-Arm pivot supports
166K New Shift linkage coupling
165K New torque strut bushings (upper motor mount)
163K Newer (from 96) shifter & leather knob
160K New A/C antifrost sw, re-charge R-134a, clutch gap
135K Newer (power antenna unit from 96, clutch master cyl., horns
133K New alarm brain, fog lite assemblies
