David, my friend, I think you may be overreaching...I checked out what you thought you remember and you may have been right, but here's an article from last year's Savannah Chronicle. As I remember you've had your share of doozies in Saabs and I've had one....this one didn't turn out so well......I liked [not really] the part about the seat belts..........cheeeez!

A Savannah woman was killed Saturday in a two-car collision while driving five children including her two daughters in west Chatham County.
Cathy Aboutawila, 48, died after her 1989 Saab 9000 was struck broadside by a 1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass at the intersection of Chevis and Beaufort roads, Chatham County police said.
The wreck happened about 7 p.m. while Aboutawila was driving five children to a Newington Road address in the Ogeechee Farms neighborhood.
The children ranged from 12 to 14 years old.
Police said Aboutawila pulled into the path of an Oldsmobile driven by Travis Weston, 18, of Savannah as he approached Beaufort Road.
The impact caused the Saab to spin out of control and into a ditch, with the Olds stopping a short distance away.
Neither Weston, nor any of the other victims were wearing seat belts. They were taken to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment, where Aboutawila was pronounced dead.
Weston and the children suffered injuries, which were preliminary described as not life-threatening.
Investigators of the Chatham County Major Accident Investigations Team (M.A.I.T.) are looking at several factors that may have contributed the wreck -- Chatham County's fifth traffic fatality this year. Overgrown foliage at the intersection, as well as speed, alcohol, and drugs have not yet been ruled out.
