connects the car's wiring. It is a little box, presumably with a solid state circuit board inside. The box is labeled "To Car" and "To Trailer."
I didn't install mine--the indy who sold me the car put it on for me witht he hitch, and I haven't pulled it all out to see whether it just plugs into the factory socket of if it taps into the wires. But since Draw-Tite makes stuff for lots of cars I suspect it just plugs in. Call your local Draw-Tite hitch dealer and see what they can do.
That said, though, I got a wiring kit for my wife's Exploder for about $20 at a local auto parts place that looks like the same thing, 'cept it has a power wire to the battery. As long as you know what wires you are connecting one of the generic ones should be OK, as long as it has the solid state circuit board, which you need to keep the electrical system happy.
