Years ago I had the same problem with a VW Golf; I ended up taking a small drill bit and drilling into the nut parrallel to the CV axle threads. (Don't damage those threads even if you are replacing the CV joint as the core will not be returnable.) Once the drill was substantially through, I chiseled down the nut and split it off. Worst is it comes off, you can complete your work and buy a new nu at the dealer.
If you buy a black impact socket, breaker bar and a lentgh of pipe for leverage, you may get it off. I shattered a regular 32mm chrome socket with the breaker bar, they are not designed to take that kind of stress.
Good luck.
