You don't say what condition it's in but '98's are desireable years because it was the last year and they used up all the good suspension parts since they didn't offer the 9000 Aero that year.So basically a '98 is an Aero in cse form.Very desireably.Sounds like a good price and if it's at a ford dealer seems like you can offer less.129k is just geeting warmed up,providing it's been drived gently and allowed to come up to operating temp before being driven hard.See if there is alot of oil splooge where the head meets the block and if there is any oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil.Pull the dipstick and look in the expansion tank. Also check to see the condition of the trans fluid.I'm a manual guy but I've read enough posts to know that auto trans fluid should be changed regularly. So look for any paperwork that may be included with the car although by the time a car hits the dealer that stuff gets lost in the shuffle. How many owners and I always am suspect of female owned cars.No offense to the ladies out there.I've seen plenty of men turn the key and go also. But a look by a Saab mechanic is a good idea. What color combo is it?About the throttle issue,Look under the hood where the cable routes, maybe you can see why it's hanging up.Also the trans should noticeably shift through the gears smoothly.Good luck
