When a bus or truck goes by it can set it off. It is possible for a dealer or someone with the equipment to lowere the sensitivity. When you reconnect the battery the sensitity back to the most sensitive position and always has to be reset. When you lock it with the key hold the key in the lock position for five seconds. This is supposed to disable the motion detector which should solve the problem. CHeck your owners manual.
