That is a thought, though I have no other signs of funky voltage, and my cd player has been normal, lights, everything. It is a thought however.
Course I loaned my ocsiliscope out years ago and never saw it again.
I don't think it's claws as it were are all that deep really, the temp sensor being the worst of it. I'm still pondering over wiring diagrams though.
Any other way to check an alternator for a clean output? I guess I could replace the brush holder/regulator, it's on my preventative fixing list anyway. But that means yet ANOTHER EDU.
Let's see, I have one that randomly turns on the check warnings for no reason and ocasionaly, just goes disco and flashes all the lights randomly and the fuel gauge kinda bumps around to keep things interisting, one that reports NO miles to empty, one that the average consumption goes to 29 immediatly after reset, and another that did something odd, I forget what.
If anyone has a known good one I'd be willing to pay a reasonable ammount I guess, but I do mean KNOWN GOOD, as in has worked very recently, and correctly.
I still lean toward real gauges and lights that are not prone to the whims of a ball of IC's and resistors.
