I tend to dissagree with Adamk on the Auto shifting, I have a 94 Aero Auto, and I love this car. I too was looking for a 5spd car and finally gave up when I found this one. I purchased the car with 114k on it and it had a tranny replaced around 90k. I now have 130k and have had no problems at all, I did flush the tranny when I got it and plan on doing it again before winter. I find the shift points are almost perfect, and down shifts are very good as well(mine downshifts as you would a 5spd car). I don't see any problem with second gear comming too soon, in fact slowing down comming into a corner it generally down shifts nicely, i find I am almost always in the correct gear unless I come out of a slow sharp corner and speed up a little then backoff, it will upshift, if I nail it again it will not down shift again uless I do it manually. but this is the only situation I have found. If I were to do the same corner again and not let off the gas, but instead nail it, it will come out of the corner spinning tires! I do highly recomend doing the mod to cut the yellow wire to the ECU to fool it into thinking you have a 5spd car. without this mod is it deffinatly noticably slower!
