John, I prefer your prices. The seat repair cost was to pick up a new bottom cushion ($100) and new cover ($400 from Saabstuff). Aero seats are hard to find in excellent shape, especially for just the driver's side. If they're not near me (never are), they cost a fortune to ship. I would happily spend $150 for an excellent condition black driver's seat for my Aero.
The SAS sways and strut bar are just a want, coming from RWD cars the torque steer is my only real complaint about my 9000.
Plan B, the new car, would be purchased with cash. If all goes as planned, I might have about $10k to buy something else.
