thanks for the input david and ray...
yeah, poor contact i think was due to never replacing the driver's rotor (front). the passenger rotor is basically ok, but has ridges, i decided to start fresh and just order a new rotor, maybe save the old as a spare, i hate throwing it out.
the rears, i'm not sure about yet. the ridges are worse in the rear. i replaced the calipers, rotors, and pads 36,000 miles ago, approximately. i think all my calipers are ok, but maybe the rears need adjusting or something, i don't know, the ridges show signs, in the deeper parts, of rust, so, i'm wondering if the rears never made good contact?
i ordered the new front rotor for passenger side, and some pbr ceramic pads, cause i was never thrilled with the deluxe, they work, but don't grab as much as i'd like. the brakes in my 69 olds seem better (front disc/rear drums). i think, actually, that i've only been satisfied with the brakes in my 90 9000, both my 92 and 93... they always stop the car, just never seemed great, but the 92 was a 5 spd, so i downshifted to brake.
it seems saab 9000s don't have the most sensitive of brakes, is that true?
