You may have missed his question. He had to cut the bolts that run through the shocks due to rust or electrolysis of the metals, those bolts continue on through the rear ARB bushings. there are three tabs on the solid rear axle, the bolt goes through the first tab, through the lower shock eye, through the middle tab, through the bushing in the ARB, and finally through the center most tab.
I put Bilsteins and B & G springs in a 1994 9000 Aero, east coast lineage, that was rusted together. Even the sleeve in the ARB bushing was one with the bolt too. It was sad! Had to cut between the tabs to get all of the pieces to come apart. Still have the big pieces, use them as paperweights!
I did this a few weeks ago. I tried a variety of methods to put the new stock bushings with sleeve bonded in place, and finally gave up and took to the dealer, where I have a very good relationship, and paid the mech, directly, to do it. I watched him try a couple of methods that I had already tried so I felt better about my failure to get them to work, they didn't work for him either. So I left the piece and came back the next day...
don't know how he finally got it done, he did say it was not fun...
