Oh yes! I had that problem too! When I tried to remove the ASB hangers my bolts also spun, except they were hex I think. I had to remove all that lugage compartment liner, pry open the keepers and grasp the heads with a vice grip.

Also, the bolts holding the ASB bushing clamps to the hangers snapped off when I tried to remove them from the hangers. I had to drill out the rest of the bolt and re-tap the holes.

Almost everything that could go wrong with this project has. However as I wrote in a previous post, I'm very stuborn and almost always win.

Ultimately, the problem is caused by the use of road salt which attacks and ruins our cars. Everyone knows this, but those who drive new cars all the time don't care...Its political.
