Ok...

pulled the connector off of the the switch at the bottom of the plastic brake fluid res. and looked at the dash lights...

anti lock light came BACK on when this connector was unhooked, and the brake fluid light was STILL on as well.

The connector looked like it had a place for 5 pins but i only saw 4 metal contacts inside of it.

perhaps i answered my own question... by noticing the connector is a little broken? maybe? how many pins should it have in it for the fluid? did i unplug the right one?

which wire should i remove from this connector to test the brake fluid sensor? How else can i test the fluid level sensor?

If the brake fluid light is on by itself, but the fluid res it filled to max, should i just ignore it?

The ABS and brake system should be operating safely as normal, aside from the fact that i have a bad accumulator, correct?

With the car off, I pumped the brake pedal like 20 times... hard, until the pedal got stiff, then looked at the brake fluid level, and it was like almost 3 inches over the max full line, it was almost to the cap... so the accumulator was holding all that fluid, and the valve must work well enough to hold as well, and then... i turned the key to the first position, and let the ABS pump fill the accumulator again...

...and the pump ran for almost 30 seconds, stopped on it's own, with the fluid level right at the max line... so... everything seems to be working as it should, with the anti-lock light OFF...

it's just annoying me that the brake fluid light is on again. thanks for your help, ari

maybe you're right, the switch is jealous now :)
