I was lucky getting all nuts off of my downpipe for last months head gasket replacement. Now I will be replacing turbo with rebuild (as soon as my kit arrives.........(somebody that supplies our parts is a lot slower than they used to be). I expect the nuts to come off easily again but not sure about the three on the turbo exhaust flange/downpipe area. I hope those nuts come off fine too. I am using a new product instead of PB called Corrosion Block. I picked this up at a marine supply store. It is made in Canada and a mechanic I know swears by it. I will find out soon. One thing I like is that it is a pump-action bottle that can be used upside down. Can you thread an alloy long-stud through that back corner hole and cap each end with a nut?
Let us know what happens.
