paid $2900.00 for my 88S with 104K and the ABS light on and the a/c compressor seized. Other than that, car drove great, have put that much back into it in the first 25K miles, a good chunk of that redoing all of the a/c. the 2.0 and auto combo ain't the quickest around, but i get great mileage, safe sporty handling, tons of interior space to stretch my 6'5" frame in, well, you guys already know what they're like.
My 92 T is a work in progress and intended to be the weekend driver. It's a bit rougher than the 88 was when i bought it, but it's worth going thru. sorting out some mechanical issues and then on to the cosmetics. Bought for 7500, have so far put about 2200 in parts, haven't got it all on yet though :) Even in less than ideal shape it's quick quick quick, looking forward to getting it running perfectly :)
To that end, i've found this board INVALUABLE. Honestly, i don't think I could manage owning these cars without the information available here, or at least it would cost me a LOT more money, and i would be at the mercy of the local dealer, who is terrible, or the best indy, which is 45 miles away. I'm a fair shade tree mechanic, but i would be well over my head without the info here, thanks especially to zeke, ari, quasi, and all the other regs.
