removing the ACC control unit and reach down to the radio instead. The hard part is of course to remove the ACC unit without scratching up the black surround and the wood trim. Someone must make a tool somewhere to do this kind of jobs, anyone knows ?
I think this probably is easier than going up the center bin hole and closer to the radio unit.
If you sit in your car, the connectors are mostly to the back of the left side of the radio unit except for the antenna coax cable which is somewhere in the middle of the unit if I recall properly.
If you are serious about attaching a string to the batch of cables/wires, you can do that from there and let it hang down to the ashtray outlet and let the string hide in the ashtray. Each time when the buzz comes back, open the ash tray and pull :-).
