I feel your frustration.
Go get a couple of torque wrenches if you haven't owned them already. Get a 3/8" drive and a 1/2" drive. They are absolutely essential in doing anything yourself. Also find out the torque value for each bolt before you dive in. Many parts on the SAAB, or many European cars for that matter, are made of aluminum alloy. You can easily ruin the threads on the aluminum head. A broken bolt is much cheaper than ruined threads on the mating part.
