The timing chain looked fine, tension ok, no apparent rubbing/ scuffing. The grinding is LOUD. a lot more so than the 900's I've encountered w/ loose timing chains. Also, when it stops, it ceases abruptly. It's not raining today, so I'll investigate more. Thanks for the link, that's what I was hoping someone had posted.------Thanks George
