I agree with Larry and Kevin about the need for a 99-only organization. I've belonged to the national SAAB "club" (the NINES and its predecessor) since 1979, as well as the local club since 1980. However, it is a simple fact of time that my 99 became irrelevant to the club. This is understandable, and unavoidable. We can only get critical mass by creating regional or national or international 99 owners group(s). As an example, the 356 Registry was formed for the same reasons for the Porsche 356 owners. The 356 Porsche was shunned in the 1960s-1970s. Now, this club now boasts 7000 members worldwide. It takes time, and volunteer effort, and I am not saying we can replicate this success, but I'd support an organization that recognizes that if it wasn't for the 99, the 9XX, 9XXX etc. could not have been possible.
