Richard, it is interesting to hear that the CEl on the 97 and up should respond this way when turning the key on. I guess when the ECU gets powered up, if everything checks out, then no cel. Now, does the CEL only go out when cranking (because that is when the sensor would be giving a signal, right?) or does the CEL go out with the key in start even though no cranking is being done yet? Is it the same for your turbo model, or is this a motronic feature?
