"Well, where's the proof? Does the manufacturer of that $30 device give any warranty protection if you damage your engine?"

I have been running 'hacked' boost levels for almost 2 years. There is the proof. It does not knock. There is now a large population of boost 'hacked' NG900's and we are not seeing any problems.

As far as the dangers of increased boost loads, the hacked pressures are less than th engine must endure with the modified ECU's. So my solution is conservative.

Warrantee? Well I suspect the warrantee on my 95SET is about over. Many have put MBCs on their Saabs prior to the expiry of the Factory warrantees. That is a personal decision that should be supported by a reasonable understanding of the issues.

Many many turbo vehicles are conducive to moderate increases in boost pressure. So why not the Saabs? Yes... the T7's ECU's don't respond to the MBC's in the way that you would expect.

The main reason to use an MBC is fast spool up and more torque in the two lower castrated gears. The stock system's BPV valve is an electrically modulated bleeder valve. And guess what.... you get delayed boost as you will with any simple bleeder valve. The ball and spring MBC's that folks are using now allow the turbo to develop its characteristic boost rise rate, not that of a deficient control system... Saab calls it torque shaping. It you installed an MBC adjusted to the stock max boost levels the improvement would be massive.

What do you mean my boost creep? The main issue with high CFM boost with the basic MBC installs is boost pressure droop. I thought that boost creep was an rise in boost pressure at high CFMs where the wastegate restriction allows the pressure to exceed the set point. This cannot occur with the tiny turbos in the Saabs. These undersized turbos to spool up fast which helps compensate for the stock systems controls. But with a ball-spring MBC it is quite evident that the turbo is undersized.

Are there issues with the MBC's? YES, but those who have installed them are not removing them. As I have stated before, there are other pressurization sources which are better. I am currently working on a simple to install pop off valve (POV) to determine how that will behave in clipping off the pressure overshoots that are the only major downside of the MBC's. I have the valve. I need to rig up some plumbing that can be istalled with hose clamps and a screw driver. Yes there are better install configurations but I am seeking the easy to install route so that the solution is withing read of most folks who might want to try this.

I would not discount all of those ricers. Some of them really do know what they are doing!!!
