Do I like what they have done so far? What have they done? And thanks for the heads up on the Vaporware Fours, sixes and fives, they will come out, but they will not be that smooth. Basically, GM is a truck company, not a car company, and the car products show it. When gas goes back to $3.00 a gallon or more, GM sales will stop and Japan will supply the market with the cars consumers will want, GM does not have the products in the pipeline. Wait till the leases expire on those behemoth SUV's in a $3.00 a gallon market. It takes years to design a vehicle, but the consumer changes its mind overnight.
As further evidence, it occurs to me that the SAAB Turbo four and its engine management system have been around for how long, 15 years? Where is the GM V8-6-4? Fiero four? Or any other innovation besides the 283/327 based V8. And a smooth Saturn? Not the one I rode in. They sound like tractors. Decent for the price maybe, but its a K Mart market that they understand, not anything upscale, the quality will suffer.
I guess when my old 900 passes on and the my 9000 CS has 200,000 miles I'll switch to BMW. But with GM's history, I don't think I'll be in a SAAB.
