I can easily remove the new head end from the harness but the factory to the new harness is tied up nice and neat in the track behind the radio. The install I did was very clean with wireties for the seperation of audio, speakers, and voltage devices. There is no easy way to seperate the factory connectors from the haress without taking out the glove compartment, right hand console cover and cutting all the ties. This is what I mean about ripping out the whole instalation.
I not steamed about the security of the SAAB and its equipment but the attitude my dealer took about me peronsally doing work to the car. Granted we who purchase these vechicals are left in the dark to the technical details. But at least they (the dealer) should recognize who is the owner that the owner might want to perform maintenance and upgrades without the assistance of a $89 per hour service department and not try to take advantage when something like this comes up.
These are the same guys that tried to say my random alarms going off was due to the installation of the XM Radio in the first place as said I needed to remove it. Instead it took people from this board to identify that the alarm was due to something with the buttons in the center console signaling panic mode. Once the power window/lock button pannel was replace the problem went away.
I think now you know where my frustration is directed at.
