I really appreciate all the input. It's obvious that everyone agrees to go full-syn, even if opinions on viscosities differ a bit. The free card expires at the end of the year, so I'll probably check back later with the dealers to see if any of them get the Saab/M1 full-syn 0W-40 in. If none of them get it, I'll do it myself. As of last week, NONE of them had even heard of anything but the 5W-30 semi-syn (but one of them did offer to sub their Non-PAO-syn (still NOT an A3/B3 0W-40) for a modest upcharge). Now if I can only convince them that it's important to follow the torque specs for the drain plug...
