Dick,
Checked my Saab manual today and under maintanace it mentions the extended drain interval with Amsoil. I got rather excited and checked the warranty booklet and the engines fully covered with the extended drain plan, provided I use Amsoil and nothing else. I was so excited I checked my sife's Volvo manual, much to my surprise the same thing held true.
The conversation on this board moved on to what's best for our cars. Changing an oil beyond a factory maintanance interval is the quickest way to be denied a warranty claim if something happens to the engine. Is this truely what's best for our cars?
I'm done beating this dead horse. Email me if you have more on this as the people on this board are getting a little tired.
Happy Saabing.
David M
