1999 93 Ventilation Controls - what Saab thinks of you Posted by Peter [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
This is a great site for sharing Saab information. I learned a bunch about this problem initially from this site. Never again will I purchase a used vehicle without first consulting AllData.com for the TSB's...
What's is really urking me know is that Saab's regional customer service in CT is telling me via e-mail that what you people all have to say about your personal "repair" experiences means nothing to them, even though you've so well documented involvement by your dealership. The Acton, MA "dealer" that inspected the vehicle took 15 minutes max. to diagnose the problem...so irregardless of what you all have shared concerning the proper definitive "fix" Saab HQ is saying we'll only fix what the dealer tells us is wrong (the lower fix)....
I'm at a point now of petitioning the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to begin an investigation on a known safety defect...and I'm getting a lawyer involved...
Here are 2 e-mails from Saab HQ that support this.....enjoy...
Peter,
Technically Saabnet.com is not an authorized Saab website.
We rely completely on our dealerships for the diagnosis of the vehicles. If the dealership states that this would fix the situation, then that is the information that we accept. If you feel that this is an error, maybe getting a second opinion at another dealership is needed.
Peter,
Once again, the discussion board is not an authorized source for the repairs of vehicles. And again, we depend on the dealerships for the diagnosis of the vehicles. If they felt that the bulletin would have repaired the vehicle then that is our position.
Sincerely,
Saab Cars USA
