I drove around with the duct removed from the box to the first elbow (down verticle towards some more duct, eventually reaching the intake point/trumpet).
Also, I like the DIY set-up (saw the pics and the instructions from REM) but I wasn't sure if there are issues with me trying the same on my '00 9-3 SE AUTO, especially since I got a rough idle when disconnecting the duct for a couple of days. It would seem that I may get a rough idle if I do this...
On a separate note, I will probably try to remove the turbo silencer as Dean has previously described in hopes of increase responsiveness off the line as well.
