Checked the codes and pulled the DI. Only code read: cylinder 4 misfire. The ends of the DI connects (where it connects to the plugs) for cylinders 1 and 4 (as determined by the numbers shown on the head next to the plug) looked discolored with a white coating (powderish that I could wip off), although cylinder 1 looked the worst containing additional spots of a brown coating. The plug and plug slots were dry and oil free although plug 1 had a some rust on it (possible explaining the brown powder above). Upon removing the plugs, plug of cylinder 4 was entirely coated in black carbon, an obvious indication of a less then 100% working cylinder. Other Cylinder plugs looked ok. Hooking up a fire plug into each DI socket and grounding the plug: each cylinder fired, although the 4th cylinder had rather reduced spark. Cylinder 3 also seems to be a little weaker (although not nearly as week as cylinder 4). Cylinder 1 seems to have the strongest spark. Plugs are BCPR7ES11 although gap of plug four is larger at then 0.05 (others are only slightly less). The gap may be related to some messing at idle. I guess that points to the DI being the main problem, although, I will try replacing the plugs first. (Web sights point to my car needing BCPR7ES-11, not BCPR6ES-11. Do you still suggest BCPR6ES-11, I don't know the difference.)
I will keep you posted. Thanks
