I purchased an extended warranty from http://www.autoconnection.com/

I have mixed feelings. First of all I purchased the warranty with about 88,000 miles on my car. The policy I purchased will cover me till 140,000 miles. The policy cost me about $2,100. The policy has a $0 deductible and is “Bumper to Bumper”. I recently found out how untrue this was. A few weeks ago I replaced the suspension in my car. Front Struts, Springs, and the Upgraded control arms and sway bar. Rear Shocks, Springs and sway bar. The Rear shocks, Front Struts, Front Strut Mounts, Front Ball joints were all shot.

When I purchased my warranty they told me things were covered such as struts. I did not read the fine print as much as I should have because they were not covered. The warranty only paid for the front Ball joints, after sending an adjuster to inspect the car. They would not cover the control arm the ball joint connects to, even though Saab instructs replacing that when the Ball joint goes bad.

The warranty company paid my mechanic $301.25 This was for front ball joints.

I’m about to break 100,000 miles and I feel this warranty will pay off in the end. However if I had the chance go back to when I purchased the car. I would have looked harder for a newer car for $2000 more this would have been a better value. But I wanted a convertible and that makes the price go up, and the warranty more important because the Top motor is Very expensive.

One last thing, the Warranty Company never wants to talk to me. They will only talk to my indie.
