Look, all this arguing is somewhat silly. Complex cars have more that can go wrong, and tend to be expensive to fix. Despite their bargain-basement prices, Saabs really are complex, expensive cars,they just don't hold value like one would expect.
My point is, don't stretch to own a complex car. The maint. will eat you alive. You should plan on at least $100/month in maint. each and every month you plan on owning the car. IF you get lucky with the car then take your sig. other out to a nice dinner, if not then you are covered. My average maint. costs are $150/month, for the last 39 months/50k miles, with no mods. That doesn't include factory or extended warranty work. I do a good chunk of the work myself to avoid the $60/hour labor rate at the dealer.
