The clutch can easily be killed in 20K miles or less>> Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Tue, 18 Mar 2003 12:03:42 In Reply to: Clutch totally gone at 60000 mi for my 900SET, Bond, Tue, 18 Mar 2003 10:28:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
That's why the manufacturer only warranty the clutch for 16K miles from new.
I have seen several 900T of the newer body style to wear out the clutch in less than 60K.
The price tag though seems high to have it replaced. Does this include resealing the transmission and resurfacing flywheel? And maybe installing the upgraded shifter linkage?
The labor for this operation should be around $400.00 and the parts around $3-400 including all the trans seals. Shifter linkage is another $230.00
