I couldn't get the passenger side motor mount bolts loose yesterday. Soaked them with PBlaster, I also need to get a "persuader" for my ratchet, so maybe next weekend it'll be loose. Question: You both said to "lower" the engine, but it actually looks like, when the U-shaped mount is loosened, I would want to raise the engine a tad?
Next question: the tensioner pulley rolls freely when I spin it, does that mean it's about to go? I though Dean or someone said that's the test, and it would explain the scraping noise I've been hearing on start-up.
Hey, Anders, while Ive got you here: From below the car, it does not look like I need to remove the sub-frame to remove the oil pan (gasket is leaking badly), do you agree? What is the purpose in removing sub-frame? At least there is enough room to rmove all the bolts. If I do not need to remove sub-frame, it will save me money b/c I will not have to buy an engine hoist or a torque wrench that goes high enough.
The project itself is fairly easy if not tedious in removing the wheel well/front covers.
