Been to Kirkwood, Squaw, Sugarbowl, Sierra at Tahoe, but Heavenly is the king. There's a California side and a Nevada side and now with the high speed quads there's never a crowded lift. 4,000 feet of vertical on the Nevada side, takes a couple of days to explore the whole place. Intermediate or expert, plenty for all. Beautiful views of the lake. Lots of skiing in the trees if the powder is fresh.
Ski all day and finish up with sunset at the Chart House on the Nevada side.
What's your favorite SLC place? I'm fond of the tram at Snowbird.
