Remember the 205mph motorcyclist?

I am really appalled by this. It was just reported in the St. Paul Pioneer Press that He plead guilty so he was only charge with TWO of the THREE misdemeanors.
His misdemeanor for reckless driving was DROPPED, I can’t believe this. If he was anything he was reckless and endangering himself and other people. The road he was caught on is a rural highway with cross roads every mile, it was not a controlled access freeway.
He was charged with speeding, though no specific speed will appear on his driving record, only an indication that it was at a misdemeanor level, which can be as little as 15mph over the limit. He was also charged with operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement.
He has to pay NO fines, but serve only 200 hours of community service and remain on probation for only one year.
I think that it is worth mentioning that his father is a Sheriff’s Deputy here in one of the metro counties and due to the media attention he apparently retained an expensive attorney pro-bono.
I can understand stacking charges against an offender like this, and then dropping them upon a guilty plea, but this kid was clearly guilty of all three offenses.
I am really pissed. This kid, he is only 20, is getting away with this, quite literally. He was speeding. He did not have the proper permit to operate a motorcycle, therefore it is likely is wasn’t properly trained, and he most certainly WAS reckless.
What do you all think?
