Finch, I'm with you on this one.
this kid pleaded guilty. That's guilty as charged! If he was faultly accused, than he should not have pleaded guilty. Pleading guilty means you did whatever the prosecutor said you did. If the prosecutor charged him for going 1000mph and he pleaded guilty, than he is guilty. PERIOD
If not, the defendant need to contest. And if this pro vono sack of $hit lawyer advise him to plead guilty when not, than this kid is really stupid and deserve everything coming to him.
So if he was charged with 3 accounts, than he should be penalized for all 3 accounts. If he contested one or two of these charges, and if the Judge rules for him and results in the Judge dropping the sentence than that make sense, but the Judge should not have dropped the penalty on this one when pleaded guilty.
Did two lawyers talk to each other before the trial? sometimes these sneaky lawyers arrange things before hand if it goes as planned, sometimes prosecutors drop the charges right there and than in front of the Judge. In this case, (and only in this case) where I would accept the fact the charge was dropped.
Since he didn't have a license to drive motorcycle, he also didn't have the insurance. Since I'm not a motorcyclist, I'm not sure if the auto insurance will extend to the motorcycle without arranging it first. If not, he should also be charged for driving without the insurance.
Since it was only a motorcycle, I rather get in accident with him than any other cars because he will loose, so maybe I'm not with you on this one :)
