enforced. It's kinda rural here, so there's no issue with neighbors, but in my town I suspect the cops would cite me if I blew snow into the street. Plus, I'd just be backing out into it and it is no biggie to blow it sideways.
I live on a corner, so my driveway is in back of the house, my mailbox and newspaper come in the front. The plows always bury the mailbox, and the USPS law is they don't have to deliver mail to a box that isn't cleared 10 feet on each side of the box. So the snowblower gets a workout on the heavy stuff from the plow. A great place to bust a shear pin!
I clear the opening to my driveway really wide--about 6-8 ft on each side--so the plows don't fill it back in and it works fine.
